POWELL II THE PEOPLE MEDIA CHANGES MAGAZINE NAME TO GROOM SOPHISTICATE
ATLANTA -- Powell II The People Media, LLC changed the name of its wedding magazine to Groom Sophisticate to better position the publication among its target audiences. Previously titled Savvy Groom, Groom Sophisticate will cover the same subject matter -- wedding survival strategies, planning advice, and other information specific to the needs of engaged and married men. The name change was a proactive effort on behalf of Powell II The People Media to separate itself from a national men’s formalwear company that recently acquired a similar name. The change will help readers avoid confusion as well as position the magazine as the authority in men’s marriage topics. “Renaming the publication was a positive and proactive move,” said J. Kevin Powell, President of Powell II the People Media. “Our readers and advertisers can rest assured that their needs are being met.” Groom Sophisticate offers readers well written and researched articles covering fashion, proposal ideas, jewelry selection, honeymoon ideas, finances before and after the wedding, and other topics of interest to engaged and married men. The publication will be revealed at a wedding-themed launch party at the Defoor Centre in Atlanta on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at 7 p.m. Groom Sophisticate’s demographic is engaged and married men ages 25-35 years old in Metropolitan Atlanta.
